Job matches by country
Job matches in Germany, Austria and Switzerland
No need to check these sites one by one: Ruubu searches LinkedIn, StepStone, XING, and Indeed for you and brings back the jobs that fit your resume.
For roles in Germany and Austria, Ruubu searches LinkedIn, StepStone, XING and Indeed with your target title and city. For Switzerland we search LinkedIn, XING and Indeed, because the StepStone source we use covers the German and Austrian sites only. Listings found on several sites are merged and each one is scored against your CV.
Which job sites does Ruubu search in Germany?
Ruubu searches LinkedIn, StepStone, XING and Indeed for jobs in Germany. The same vacancy can appear on StepStone and XING, often with a gender tag such as (m/w/d) in the title, so we treat those copies as one listing and show both site names on it.
| Site | What it is |
|---|---|
| Professional network with job listings in most countries, often posted by the employer or its recruiters. | |
| StepStone | Large German-language job board with listings in Germany and Austria. |
| Professional network used mostly in German-speaking countries, with its own job listings. | |
| Indeed | Job search engine that collects listings from employer career pages and job boards, with a site for many countries. |
From each site we read up to 50 recent listings for your target role (up to 20 from InfoJobs): title, company, location, pay when the listing states it, the posting date and the link. You always apply on the original site.
Site names belong to their owners. Ruubu is not affiliated with these sites and does not show their logos.
How matching works
You set the role and place
Add your target job titles and locations in Settings. The location tells us which country's sites to search.
We search each site
Each site gets the same search. The same opening posted on two sites becomes one listing that shows both names.
We score every listing
Each listing is read requirement by requirement and compared with your resume. Must-have requirements weigh the most, and the score is calculated in code.
You see the best 20
The strongest matches come first, 10 per page, each with a short reason it matches and the skills it asks for that your resume does not show.
Searching for jobs in German-speaking countries
- Many listings are written in German. Adding a German job title as well (for example Projektmanager) finds listings that an English title can miss.
- Use a city as your location (for example München or Wien). The country is detected from it, so Austrian and Swiss cities get the right sites.
- A German CV usually has a clear tabular layout and often a photo. The CV format guide explains what employers expect.

What we do not do
- No made-up or placeholder listings: every match links to a real posting on the site it came from.
- No padding: listings that fit your resume poorly are hidden, so a short list means few strong fits.
- No guessed pay: we show a salary only when the listing states one.
- If a site does not respond, we tell you which one and show results from the others.
- We do not apply for you or contact employers. You decide where to apply.

Questions about job matches here
Can my CV be in English when the listing is in German?
Yes. Matching compares skills and tools across languages, but a CV in the listing's language often reads better to German employers. Ruubu can translate your CV when you need a German version.
Why is StepStone not searched for Swiss jobs?
The StepStone source we use covers stepstone.de and stepstone.at. For Switzerland we search LinkedIn, XING and Indeed, and we will add Swiss coverage when a reliable source exists.
Which plan includes job matches?
The Resume Pass includes a weekly batch of scored matches. Pro adds searches you start yourself, a weekly email alert and tailored resume versions for the jobs you pick.
What does the fit score mean?
It is a 0 to 100 estimate of how well your resume covers the listing's requirements. A missing must-have requirement keeps the score low even when the rest fits, so a high score means the core of the job is covered.
