Yes, if you mainly want an ATS check and help fixing what it finds. Ruubu's check is free without an account, and the Resume Pass costs $7.99/mo against $49.95 for Jobscan's monthly plan. Pick Jobscan if you want auto-apply credits, a free job tracker or its Chrome extension, which Ruubu does not offer.

- Ruubu's check, fix list, editor and a PDF with a small mark are free. Jobscan's free plan includes 5 scans a month. On Ruubu, AI rewrites and clean downloads need the Resume Pass ($7.99/mo).
- How is Ruubu's score different from a Jobscan match rate?
- Jobscan's match rate compares a resume with one job posting. Ruubu's main score rates the resume itself on 14 rules, such as contact details, section headings, dates, measurable results and length. The Job Link Optimizer then adds a match score for a specific posting.
- Can I get a refund?
- Ruubu refunds your first payment in full within 7 days, even after a download. Jobscan's policy allows refund requests within 2 calendar days of a billing period if the service was not used, minus a 3.5% fee (checked October 2026).
- Does Ruubu have auto-apply or a Chrome extension?
- No. Ruubu never applies to jobs or posts on your behalf. If those features matter to you, Jobscan's paid plans include auto-apply credits and its Chrome extension is on the free plan.
- Can I move my resume from Jobscan to Ruubu?
- Yes. Download your resume as PDF or DOCX, upload it to the free checker, then open it in the editor with a free account. Your score and fix list carry over.
