Terms of Service

Ruubu is operated by Papel Espresso LLC, 30 N Gould St Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States. These Terms are a contract between you and Papel Espresso LLC. In these Terms, "Ruubu", "we", "us" and "our" mean Papel Espresso LLC. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

Ruubu analyzes the LinkedIn profile you submit, generates resume drafts and suggestions, and surfaces job postings scored against your profile. Results are recommendations, not guarantees — we do not and cannot promise interviews, offers, or employment outcomes.

• Only analyze your own profile. Analyzing someone else's profile without authorization is prohibited.
• You represent and warrant that, for each profile you submit, you are the owner of that profile or are otherwise authorized to have it analyzed. You are solely responsible for the profiles you submit and for your use of the results.
• You acknowledge that Ruubu retrieves the public profile data only at your direction and on your behalf — you initiate each analysis and instruct us to fetch the data for that profile.
• You are solely responsible for complying with any third-party terms that apply to the data you submit, including LinkedIn's User Agreement and any applicable laws.
• You confirm the information in your profile and resume is truthful. The product never invents numbers for you, and you should not either.
• Don't abuse the service (automated scraping of our product, resale, or attempts to circumvent plan limits).

Much of what Ruubu produces is generated automatically by AI models from the information you provide, including resume drafts and suggestions, scores, cover letters, resignation letters and other templates, interview preparation, translations and AI headshots. Generated content can be incomplete, out of date or wrong, even when it reads well.

• Generated content and templates are provided for general information and as drafting help only. They are not legal, career, financial, tax or immigration advice and do not replace advice from a qualified professional about your situation.
• You are solely responsible for reviewing, correcting and editing generated content before you use it, and for how you use it, including what you send to employers or anyone else. For letters such as a resignation letter, it is up to you to check that the notice period, the required form (for example, a signed paper letter) and any other requirements of your contract, collective agreement and local law are met.
• Ruubu works only from what you provide and does not verify it. Do not use generated content to make claims about yourself that are not true.
• We do not promise any outcome from using generated content, including interviews, job offers, a particular result in an employer's screening system, or the acceptance of an application, resignation or visa.
• To the extent permitted by applicable law, Ruubu is not responsible for decisions you make or actions you take based on generated content, and the Warranty disclaimer and Limitation of liability sections below apply. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law that applies to you, or affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

AI headshots creates professional portraits from photos you upload. It is available on paid plans, within the limits shown on the pricing page, and only to people aged 18 or older. By using it, you agree to these rules:

• Upload only photos of yourself. Do not upload photos of other people, including children or public figures, or images you do not have the right to use.
• Do not use the feature or its results to impersonate anyone, to deceive (for example, to get through identity or age checks), or to create sexual, violent, hateful or discriminatory content.
• Do not ask for ID or passport photos, or for changes to your age, ethnicity or body. We may refuse such requests.
• Results are AI-generated and may not perfectly resemble you. They are not official ID, passport or biometric photos.
• You own the portraits created for you to the extent the law allows, and you may use them for any lawful purpose, including commercial use. We claim no rights in them. You are responsible for disclosing that they are AI-generated where a platform, employer or law requires it, and you must not remove or alter their AI-generated labels to mislead anyone.
• We may refuse, stop or delete a generation that breaks these rules and suspend accounts that misuse the feature. How we handle your photos is explained in the Privacy Policy.

The Resume Pass ($7.99/mo) and Pro ($19.99/mo) are monthly subscriptions that renew automatically every month until cancelled. You can cancel either one anytime in Settings → Billing; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period and you keep access until then. Fees already charged are non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise; the Refund Policy has the details. If you bought the Resume Pass before October 9, 2026, when it was sold as a single fixed-length purchase, it keeps working until the end date shown in Settings → Billing and is never charged again.

Free trial. The Resume Pass may be offered with a free trial. Its length and the date of the first charge are shown at checkout before you confirm. We collect a payment card when the trial starts but charge nothing during it. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, it converts automatically into the paid monthly subscription at the price shown at checkout: your card is charged on the day the trial ends, and the subscription then renews every month until you cancel. When the trial starts, we email you its end date, the amount and currency of the charge and how to cancel. You can cancel at any time during the trial in Settings → Billing; you are not charged and you keep access until the trial ends. There is one free trial per person and per payment card: if your account, your email address or your card already had a free trial or a paid plan with us, the trial does not apply and the first month is charged right away. AI headshots are not included during the trial and become available with the first successful payment.

Your profile data and the resumes generated from it are yours. We claim no ownership and use them only to provide the service.

Ruubu is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or otherwise connected to LinkedIn Corporation. "LinkedIn" is a trademark of its respective owner, used here only to describe what the service does.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Ruubu and its operators from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to the profiles you submit, your use of the service, or your breach of these Terms — including any claim that you were not authorized to analyze a profile you submitted.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ruubu disclaims all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that scores, suggestions, or generated content will produce any particular result, including interviews, offers, or employment.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ruubu and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100). This cap applies in full to free-tier ($0) users, for whom the applicable amount paid is zero, so liability is limited to US$100.

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time from your settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, misuse the service, or where required by law. If your account is closed or terminated, you have a 30-day window during which you can export your data before it is permanently deleted; after that period, your content is removed in line with our Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as ownership, disclaimers, liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution) will continue to apply.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to the dispute-resolution section below, you agree that the state and federal courts located in Wyoming have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute not subject to arbitration, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

Most concerns can be resolved quickly — please contact us first at support@ruubu.com. To the extent permitted by applicable law, any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be settled by binding individual arbitration rather than in court, except that either party may bring claims in small-claims court or seek injunctive relief for intellectual-property misuse. You and Ruubu agree that disputes will be brought only in an individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, or representative proceeding. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable rights you have under the mandatory laws of your country of residence.

US residents: arbitration is administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules and may take place by video or in the county where you live. It covers all claims, including claims under biometric privacy laws such as the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act. You can opt out of arbitration by emailing support@ruubu.com within 30 days after you first accept these Terms; if you do, the class-action waiver above still applies to the extent the law allows.
