Resume Pass

Practice out loud with an AI interviewer

A spoken mock interview with an AI interviewer that has read your resume and the job. It asks one question at a time and follows up when an answer is vague. When you finish, you get feedback on every answer.

Resume Pass: 4 sessions a month, up to 15 minutes each; the free trial includes 1 session of up to 10 minutes. Pro: 6 a month, up to 20 minutes each.

  1. AI interviewerThanks for making the time. Could you walk me through the project on your resume you are most proud of?
  2. YouSure. Last year I rebuilt our checkout reporting, and we found a payment page that failed on older phones.
  3. AI interviewerWhat did you do yourself once you found it, and what changed afterwards?

How it works

How a practice interview works

  1. Pick the job and the interviewer

Choose your resume and the job: a prep kit, an application from your tracker or a pasted posting. Then pick the interviewer, the difficulty, your level, the language and the length.

  2. Answer out loud, in real time

The interviewer speaks, listens and reacts like a person would. It asks one question at a time, digs into vague answers and wraps up when your time runs out.

  3. Read your feedback

Usually within a minute of ending the call, you get feedback on every answer and the full transcript, so you know what to practice next.

What you get

  • A real-time spoken conversation

No typing and no recorded prompts: you talk, the interviewer answers. Live captions show what was said, and you can mute or end the call at any time.

  • 6 interview languages

English, Turkish, German, French, Spanish or Portuguese, in the register a real interviewer would use in that language.

  • The interview you are about to have

A recruiter screen, a hiring manager, a behavioral (STAR) round or a light technical interview, at easy, standard or tough difficulty.

  • Questions for your level

From intern to director: the questions change with your seniority, which you can set or let Ruubu read from your resume and the job.

  • Feedback on every answer

STAR structure, how specific you were, filler words and length, what to improve, and a stronger version built only from your resume and what you said.

  • Practice that stays private

Ruubu does not record or store audio, and nothing is shared with employers. Only the transcript and your feedback are saved, and you can delete a session at any time.

Example output

What the feedback looks like

After the call you see a short summary of how it went, then each question with your answer and notes on it.

  • What worked and what to practice next
  • STAR check per answer: situation, task, action, result
  • How specific the answer was, its length and the filler words counted from the transcript
  • A stronger answer built from your resume and what you said, with [add: …] where only you know the facts

Who it's for

  • You have an interview coming up

Rehearse the questions this role is likely to bring, for this company, before the real call.

  • You interview in another language

Practice the interview in the language it will happen in, until the answers come out naturally.

  • You freeze when you speak

Knowing your story on paper is not the same as telling it. Say it out loud a few times first.

Questions about voice practice interviews

What is a voice mock interview?

A practice interview you hold out loud with an AI interviewer. It prepares from your resume and the job you choose, asks one question at a time, follows up on vague answers and gives you written feedback afterwards. It is practice, not a real interview.

Which plans include it?

The Resume Pass includes 4 sessions a month of up to 15 minutes each, and its free trial includes 1 session of up to 10 minutes. Pro includes 6 sessions a month of up to 20 minutes each. The free plan does not include voice interviews.

Is my voice recorded?

No. Your voice is sent to OpenAI to run the conversation, and Ruubu does not record or store audio. The transcript and the feedback are saved in your account until you delete the session.

Does an employer see my practice interview?

No. Nothing from a practice session is shared with any employer. The interviewer is an AI and says so if you ask.

What do I need?

A microphone and a recent Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox, on a computer or a phone. Headphones help, so the interviewer does not hear itself.
