How to cancel an Enhancv subscription
Enhancv Pro renews automatically at the start of each billing period, so cancelling before the next one is what stops the charge. Cancelling and asking for a refund are two separate steps at Enhancv. Here is each one, from its own help center.
This guide is written by Ruubu, a different resume tool. The steps come from Enhancv's own help and legal pages, linked under Sources. We are not affiliated with Enhancv and cannot cancel for you.
How do I cancel my Enhancv subscription?
Open Enhancv's Billing page, click Cancel Subscription, answer the short survey and confirm. Pro access lasts to the end of the period you paid for, then the account becomes read-only. Cancelling does not request a refund: monthly fees are non-refundable, quarterly and 6-month plans may get a pro-rated refund by email.
Before you cancel
- Download every resume and cover letter you want to keep from Enhancv first. After the paid period ends the account is read-only: you can still download existing documents, but edits are not saved.
- Check which plan you pay for: Pro is $39 every month, $69 every 3 months or $99 every 6 months, and each renews automatically.
- Unsubscribing from the newsletter does not stop payments; its help center says so in the cancel article's own title.
- If you want a refund, plan to email support as well: its help center says cancelling a subscription does not trigger a refund request.
Cancel on the Billing page
- 1.Sign in and go to your Billing page (app.enhancv.com/billing).
- 2.Click the Cancel Subscription link.
- 3.Answer the survey and click Continue.
- 4.Confirm the cancellation; a success message appears and Enhancv sends a confirmation email.
- 5.Check that the plan now shows as Canceled, with the date your Pro access expires.[3][2]
Ask for a refund (a separate step)
- 1.Email help@enhancv.com, or write through the help center, from the email address on the subscription.
- 2.Attach a PDF of a resume made in the account, or a receipt with the transaction number.
- 3.If you have neither, give the payment date, the amount and the last 4 digits of the card, or the PayPal email address if you paid with PayPal.[4]
Refunds
Enhancv's help center says monthly fees are non-refundable. Quarterly and 6-month plans are eligible for a partial pro-rated refund if you stop before the period ends: the months you used are charged at the monthly price and the difference is refunded.
A refund is never automatic. You have to ask for it, and when Enhancv issues one it also cancels the subscription. Fees paid with a promo code are non-refundable.
Its terms add that it does not refund a renewal you forgot to cancel, unless a technical issue on its side stopped you from cancelling. Its price page FAQ says a refund can be offered if something breaks and you cannot use the service.[4][2][1]
After you cancel
You keep full Pro access, including editing, downloading and creating documents, until the end of the billing period. The Billing page shows the expiry date above your current plan.
After that the account stays in read-only mode: existing documents can be downloaded, but edits are not saved until you start a new subscription with Reactivate Plan.
Deleting resumes or the account is done by you in the account and is permanent. Its terms say it is your responsibility to cancel the subscription on the Billing page before the next billing date, so cancel first.[3][7][8][9][2]
Common situations
You only used the free plan. It is valid for 7 days and needs no card, so there is no subscription to cancel.
A monthly renewal has just gone through. Cancel now to stop the next one; the help center says monthly fees are non-refundable, so expect Pro to run until the end of that month.
You paid for 3 or 6 months and stopped using it early. Cancel, then email support for the pro-rated refund the help center describes for those plans.
You used a promo code. Its terms say you must cancel before the promotional period ends to avoid the regular fee, and promo-reduced fees are not refunded.
Your payment failed. Its help center suggests a different card or PayPal at checkout; if you meant to leave anyway, cancel on the Billing page instead.[10][4][2][11]
What to check on your bank statement
Enhancv's help center says its payments show up with a Paddle reference, because Paddle is its payment provider:
Names the company says can appear on a statement
- PADDLE* ENHANCV
- Paddle handles payments for many software products, so match the amount and date with the invoices on your Enhancv Billing page.
- Match the amount and the date: a charge every 4 weeks moves a little earlier each month, so it will not land on the same day as a monthly bill.
- If your card is in another currency, your bank may add a conversion fee or show a slightly different amount from the list price.
- If a charge appears after you cancelled, contact the company first and quote your cancellation confirmation; keep a copy of every reply.
- If that does not resolve it, your card issuer can explain its dispute process. Ask them before the dispute window on your card closes.
